La fig. 1 est une vue en plan des orga nes du dispositif d'arrêt dans la position occupée par eux pendant l'audition d'un disque; La fig. 2 représente en plan les mêmes organes dans la position occupée par eux après le fonctionnement du dispositif d'arrêt à friction au moment où l'interrupteur du circuit électrique est sur le point d'être ouvert; La fig. 3 représente en plan et en traits pleins le dispositif d'arrêtà friction dans la position correspondantà l'arrêt età l'interrup teur ouvert, les organes étant représentés en pointillé dans la position occupée par eux pendant leur mouvement de recul vers leur position de repos;
Le levier7 présente une extrémité fourchue8 passant de part et d'autre d'une cheville9 portée par un levier d'arrêt10. Ce dernier peut tourner autour d'un pivot11 d'un certain angle assez faible et limité par les butées 12 et13;
Le porte-disque tendantà continuerà tourner sous l'action de son inertie exerce une poussée longitudinale surla levier d'ar rêt10. Par suite la plaque29 tourne autour du pivot31 sur la plaque-support 1 dans le sens contraireà celui des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce que son bord vienne au contact de la butée32', pendant ce dépla cement le galet 33 quitte d'abord l'évide ment27 en repoussant légèrement la pièce 25 dans le sens des aiguilles dune montre jusqu'à ce que ce galet ait franchi la saillie 30 après quoi la pièce25 revient sous l'ac tion du ressort de contact28 en amenantle galet23 dans le second évidement28;
Stop device for talking machine. The present invention relates to a stop device for a talking machine with electric control.
We have already previously used devices driven by by hand or automatically and intended to bring an organ to rub to the sui-face of a rotating member of the speaking machine and to then move away from it, while ensuring the closing and opening of an electrical switch inserted in the motor circuit in order to stop or start the machine.
The device according to the invention is characterized by a member capable of immobilizing the rotating members under the action of the rubbing and a mechanism controlled by this member as well as by the inertia of the rotating members and intended to open a switch inserted in the electric circuit of the drive motor. The appended drawing represents, by by way of example, an embodiment of the device applied to the speaking machine described in Swiss patent no 139863. < / B>
1 The parts of the speaking machine which are not necessary for the understanding of the invention are not shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the organs of the stopper in the position occupied by them during the hearing of a disc; Fig. 2 shows in plan the same members in the position occupied by them after the operation of the to friction stop device at the moment when the switch of the electrical circuit is about to be opened; Fig. 3 shows in plan and in solid lines the with friction stop device in the position corresponding to the stop and to < / B> the switch open, the components being shown in dotted lines in the position occupied by them during their backward movement towards their rest position;
Fig. 4 is a side view of the mechanism seen from the right of FIG. 1.
The automatic stopping device shown is of the type which stops the speaking machine when the advancing movement of the acoustic arm is reversed by the penetration of the needle into an eccentric groove formed in the center of the disc.
The stop device is mounted on a support plate 1 fixed to the motor board below the disc holder 2, only part of which is shown. The automatic friction com stop device takes a lever 3 pivoting around point 4 of the support plate and abutting in the known manner against the ankle 5 carried by the acoustic arm 6 and directed downwards in the well-known manner, so as to forcing the lever 3 to </ B > move with the acoustic arm. A second lever 7 can rotate around the same pivot 4 and is held to rubbing against the lever 3 so to </ B > move with him around the pivot 4.
The 7 lever has a forked end 8 passing on either side of a pin 9 carried by a stop lever 10. The latter can turn around a pivot 11 at a fairly small angle limited by stops 12 and 13;
the lever 10 is brought into contact with one or the other of the stops 12 or 13 depending on the direction of movement of the acoustic arm and by continuation of levers 3 and 7. The disc holder 2 has in its center and at its lower part a wise bos 14 surrounded by a sleeve 15, inside this sleeve 15 rub a number of 16 fiber pads placed in the openings in the wall boss 14 and an elastic ring 17 pushes outwards. The outer surface of the sleeve 15 has a number of radial projections 18.
While listening to Lin disc, the handle 15 rotates with the disc holder 2 and when the acoustic arm is brought back above the disc, the lever 3 moves in a counterclockwise direction , while the stop lever 10 is held firmly against the stop 12 thanks to the friction existing between the levers 3 and 7. Under these conditions,
the end 19 of the stop lever 10 comes into the position shown to in fig. 1 where it is outside the path of the projections 16 of the sleeve 15. When you reach at the end of a record the direction of movement of the acoustic arm 6 is reversed from the well-known mallet by the needle penetrating into an eccentric groove formed in the center of the record.
As a result, the levers 3 and 7 move clockwise and the stop lever 10 turns around of its pivot to abut against the stop 13; the end 19 of the lever 10 therefore comes into the path of any one of the projections radials 18 of the sleeve 15, which stops this dei-nier. The rotation of the disc holder then ceases due to the friction exerted by the fiber pads 16 carried by the openings of the bos sage 14 of the disc holder against the inner wall of the sleeve 15.
A special device makes it possible to use the thrust exerted on the lever 10 by the inertia of the disc holder when the end 19 of this lever abuts against a projection of the sleeve 15 to open an electric switch of the electric circuit of the motor controlling the phonograph.
A this effect, the motor board carries a switch 20 consisting of two horizontal plates 21 of insulating material between which are arranged the contact springs 22, 23 , one of which is curved so to tend to to move away from the other.
On the support plate is mounted a part 25 pivoting around point 24 and in the form of a metal plate carrying an insulating part 16 . The latter is in contact with the spring 22 of the switch which tends to move the part 25 around its pivot 24 in the opposite direction to </ B > clockwise. The edge of the part 25 remote from the part 26 has two arcuate recesses 27 and 28 between which there is a projection < B> 30.
The stop lever 10 of the stop device described above is mounted on a pivot carried by the plate 29 which can itself pivot through a limited angle around of the pivot 31 carried by the support plate 1, the stops 12 and 13 being carried by the plate 29. </ B > A stop 32 carried by the support plate 1 is used to limit the amplitude of the movements of the plate 29 </ B> in a given direction around the pivot 31; the end of the plate 29 carries a roller 33 capable of penetrating into one or the other of the recesses .27 or 28.
The switch at at the end of the disc is controlled as follows: The direction of movement of the acoustic arm being reversed and the end 19 of the lever d 'stop 10 being engaged with a radial projection 18, as described above, the members are provisionally in the position shown in FIG. 2.
The disc carrier tending to to continue to rotate under the action of its inertia exerts a longitudinal thrust on the stop lever 10. Therefore the plate 29 turns around the pivot 31 on the support plate 1 in the opposite direction to clockwise until its edge comes into contact with the stop 32 ', during this movement the roller 33 first leaves the recess ment 27 by slightly pushing the part 25 clockwise until this roller has passed the projection 30 after which the part 25 returns under the action of the contact spring 28 by bringing the roller 23 into the second recess 28;
the contacts of the switch 22 and 23 are therefore separated by opening the circuit of the motor, the components being arranged as shown in solid lines in fig. 3. It will be noted that the fork 8 formed at the end of the lever 7 has sufficient length to allow pin 9 of lever 10 to move the required amount.
A device is provided to allow the end 19 of the lever 10 to disengage from the projection 18 and switch contacts 22 and 23 to be closed when moving the acoustic arm 6 outwards by hand to play a new record.
The stop lever 10 has at its end remote from the end 19 an extension 34 whose edge forms a cam and acts on a projection 35 carried by the free end of the lever 3.
When the arm. acoustic 6 is brought back outwards, the lever 2) moves clockwise around the pivot 4 and the projection 35 comes into contact with the cam surface closed by the extension 34 of the lever 10. As a result, the lever 10 first turns around its pivot 11 </ B > until it comes into contact with the stop 12 of the plate 29, while its end 19 moves away from the path followed by the projection 18 of the sleeve 15. As the acoustic arm continues to move in the same direction, it follows that the components 10 </ B> and 29 turn integrally around the pivot 31 until the roller 33 has returned to the recess 27 < / B> by allowing the contact springs to close.
