Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     halogenhal-          tigen    Stoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass  man auf     Dioxystearinsäure    Chlor bis zum  Eintritt von 5 Atomen einwirken lässt.  



  Das so erhaltene     Pentachlorderivat    der       Dioxystearinsäure    stellt ein schwach gefärb  tes Öl dar und soll als Zwischenprodukt zur  Herstellung von     Färbereihilfsprodukten    Ver  wendung finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  In 32     'feile    einer nach üblicher Methode  gewonnenen     Oxystearinsäure    wird bei 75 bis  85   unter Rühren trockenes Chlorgas ein  geleitet, bis die Gewichtszunahme 18 Teile  beträgt. Das erhaltene, fast farblose Öl wird  einige Stunden im Vakuum gerührt, bis keine    Salzsäure mehr entweicht und kann durch  Waschen mit Wasser und Trocknen im Va  kuum in reinem Zustand erhalten werden.
