Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 225559. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azofarbstofes. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azo- farbstoffes. Das Verfahren ist dadurch ge kennzeichnet, dass man 4,4'-Dinitrostilberi- 2,2'-disulfonsäure in natronalkalischer Lö sung zunächst mit 1 Mol 1,
4-Diaminobenzol- sulfonsäure bei einer Temperatur unter 50 kondensiert und dann mit 1 Mol 1,4-Diamino- benzol bei höherer Temperatur zum zweiten Male kondensiert.
Der neue Farbstoff stellt ein dunkles Pul ver dar, das sich in Wasser mit gelber Farbe löst und Baumwolle in gelben Tönen färbt. Er soll vor allem als Zwischenprodukt zum Aufbau anderer Farbstoffe verwendet wer den.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 43 Gewichtsteile 4,4'-Dinitrostilben-2,2'- disulfonsäure werden in ungefähr 700 Ge wichtsteilen 5 % iger Natronlauge gelöst, mit 19 Gewichtsteilen 1,4-Diaminobenzolsulfon- säure versetzt und ungefähr 12 Stunden bei einer Temperatur von 45 gehalten. Das aus- gefallene und isolierte Monokondensations- produkt wird mit 11 Gewichtsteilen 1,4-Di- aminobenzol in 750 Gewichtsteilen 5%iger Natronlauge etwa 10 Stunden auf 80-85 erhitzt.
Nach dieser Zeit ist in guter Aus beute der Farbstoff folgender Konstitution ausgefallen:
