Process for the production of a vat dye. According to Swiss patent no. 150007 and its additional patent, valuable vat dyes are obtained by using the alkaline condensation products of Bzl-benzanthronyl-1-amino-4- or. 5- resp. 8-aminoanthraquinone treated with acylating agents.
It has now been found that analogous dyes are obtained if such derivatives of the abovementioned condensation

Such output bodies are available, for example, according to the method of Swiss patents no. 148372 to no. 148376.
The present reaction products correspond to the general formula: mean a linkable ring system. They stand out - from the dyes tles Swiss patent No. 150007 and its additives by a significantly deepened hue.

The starting body can, for example, according to the Swiss patents. The same dyes are obtained when acyl derivatives of anthrimides of the formula. The present patent now relates to a process for producing a vat dye, characterized in that the condensation product of the formula : Fastness properties, in particular excellent chlorine fastness.
Example: 66 parts of the condensation product of the formula: No. 1483 72 to No. 148376 obtained by caustic alkaline condensation of the product obtained by successive condensation of Bzi- 6-dibromobenzanthrone with one mole each of 1-amino 5-benzoylaminoanthraquinone and 1-aminoanthraquinone is obtained,
the benzoyl group is also split off with saponification. This initial body dyes cotton from a brown-black vat in gray, non-chlorine shades.
