Le dessin annexé représente, schématique ment et à titre d'exemple, des formes d'exé cution de l'objet de ]!invention. Sur ce dessin: La fig. 1 représente en vue extérieure une tige polaire; La fig. 2. représente, en coupe longitudi nale, la monture et l'écrou de fixation de la tige dans la monture; La fig. 3 représente, en coupe longitudi nale, les pièces en cours de montage; La fig. 4 représente de façon analogue la fiche de prise de courant montée;
Plug. The invention relates to an electric current socket.
The electrical power outlets presently on the market almost all have small parts (screws, nuts, etc.) which get lost. easily and which require, for the fixing of the wires to their terminals, the use of tools which one does not always have at hand (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.).
Certain other sockets comprise, for each pole, a metal rod, in the form of a socket or of a plug, screwed in an insulating mount and clamping between its end and the inside of the insulating mount, the stripped end of the conductor. These sockets are easier to assemble than the previous ones, but they also require the use of a wire for tightening the rods, which must be forceful to block these rods and firmly pin the conductive wire.
In accordance with the present invention, the. pole piece, can rotate freely during assembly in a chamber of the moaitum, into which penetrates the bare conductive wire which can thus be wound, in this chamber, around the pole piece, which is then locked in the frame by a nut screwed on the end of this piece and bearing on the frame.
For fixing the wire to the pole piece, a transverse hole can be drilled in this piece, or else this piece can have a side tab.
The frame preferably has a seat in which a projection carried by the pole piece engages to hold it while the nut locking the pole piece in the frame is tightened.
The accompanying drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, embodiments of the object of the invention. In this drawing: Fig. 1 shows an external view of a pole rod; Fig. 2. shows, in longitudinal section, the frame and the stem fixing nut in the frame; Fig. 3 shows, in longitudinal section, the parts being assembled; Fig. 4 shows in a similar way the mounted socket-outlet;
Fig. 5 shows, in exterior view, a socket with two plugs; Fig. 6 is a view similar to that of FIG. 4, the pole rod forming the socket; Fig. 7 shows, in longitudinal section, a socket in; which is arranged a tab for wedging the end of the wire, and FIG. 8 shows this socket in exterior view 901 'from the previous one.
The pole piece consists of a rod of conductive material which has: the shape of a plug or a socket. In fig. 1, this rod has been represented as being a plug 1.
This rod 1 carries a pin 2, above this pin, an opening 3 passing right through it. and finally, to. the upper part, a thread 4.
This rod is placed: in a frame 5 made of insulating material "ebonite for example, shown in FIG. 2. This frame lays in its bottom an orifice 6 allowing the rod 1 to be inserted therein and a transverse slot <B> 7 </B> in which the pin 2 can be embedded; it also has a -8 hole on the side; finally, a plug 9 of the same substance can be placed at the top of the frame.
This plug is internally threaded so as to form a cap nut and the threading screw 10 allows it to be screwed onto the thread 4 of the. metal rod, as shown on the filg. 4. The rod 1 has a diameter smaller than the internal diameter of the. frame 5, which forms an interior chamber allowing winding. wire during assembly.
To fix a cable to this mount, we unscrew: the cap 9 by a certain amount, so as to be able to make the pin 2 come out of the groove 7, in which it is located. Hole 3 is located approximately opposite orifice 8, we turn it. rod 1 by hand, so; so that the opening 3 comes opposite the hole 8 and the stripped end of the cable 11 is made to penetrate into the opening 3.
We turn several times there. rod. 1 on itself, so as to be able to wind on it a certain quantity of the cable 11 and to prevent it as well as by pulling on it, its end comes out of Vauverture 3.
We then replace the pin 2 in the. slot 7 and the cap 9 is screwed until the rod is firmly seated in. the frame, as shown in FIG. 4; the thread can no longer be detached from the rod which itself can no longer turn; it can thus be seen that the assembly has been carried out without the need for any tool, and without the need to mount or screw small parts which can easily fall or be lost.
In fig. 5, there is shown a mount 5 ', in which are arranged two plugs, such as 1, so as to constitute a bipolar current request which can replace, by all where they are used, ordinary sockets.
You can make a connector or socket outlet in the same way as a plug socket; a socket of this type is shown in particular in FIG. 6. The rod 12, arranged in the frame 5, is constituted by a sleeve comprising, at its upper part, a hole 13 for the passage of the wire, two tenons 14 and 15, arranged at the lower part, are lo ger in the groove 7 of the.
frame, the cha skin 9 is still screwed onto the upper part of the socket and immobilizes the latter in the frame, as. previously.
In fig. 7 and 8, we have. shown a similar socket, but in which, instead of providing an opening passing right through the. sleeve to make the end, stripped of the wire penetrate, a tab 16 has been lifted on this sleeve in which the end of the wire can be wedged, as shown in FIG. 8, the wire being rolled several times over the sleeve as before, so as to prevent it from unwinding.
It is of course understood that the various details of the current sockets described above can be significantly modified. It is possible, in fact, to provide other means of fixing the wire on the sleeve or pole rod; just as it is possible to replace the pin 2 or the tenons 14 and 15 with round or hexagonal shanks, cones, etc.
The socket-outlet described is of very simple and absolutely safe construction, since, on the one hand, the wires can be pulled without being possible to make them escape from q <I> 'il o </I> the rod on which they are located and, on the other hand, the contacts are as secure as they can be with the usual sockets.
I.1 '. it should be noted that the children arrive <i. the. socket from the side, as shown in fig. 5, we did. no tendency, as with ordinary sockets, to pull on the wire to bring the plugs out of the sockets, which gradually deteriorates the part of the wire fixed in the socket-outlet.
