Dispositif pour le réglage de la force qui, dans un mouvement d'horlogerie, est transmise par le ressort moteur à l'échappement. Il est bien connu que les ressorts moteurs des mouvements d'horlogerie ne donnent pas une puissance constante; cette puissance, relativement élevée au début, descend à une valeur moyenne qu'elle conserve pendant la plus grande partie du déroulement du ressort pour arriver à une puissance faible à la fin de ce déroulement;
Dans la première forme d'exécution, 1 est l'axe d'un mobile du rouage, tourillonné entre un ponta et la platineb; 2 est un pignon calé sur cet axe et 3 une roue calée sur un manchon 11 monté fou sur l'axe; à l'extré mité inférieure de ce dernier est calée une came 4 présentant à sa périphérie une gorge 5 ; cette came est entourée par un segment élastique 6, fendu en 7 et présentant, en 8, un logement dans lequel pénètre une cheville d'entraînement 9, fixée au plateau 10 lequel est lui-même calé sur le manchon 1-1; les lèvres 12 et 13 du segment 6 et les parois de l'ouverture 5 de la came forment entre elles une sorte de chambre dans laquelle est enfermé le galet de coinçage 14;
Device for adjusting the force which, in a clockwork movement, is transmitted by the mainspring to the escapement. It is well known that the mainsprings of watch movements do not give constant power; this power, relatively high at the start, drops to an average value which it retains during the greater part of the unwinding of the spring to reach a low power at the end of this unwinding;
and, if it is possible to easily eliminate the portion of the unwinding of the spring where the motive power is weak, by taking a spring which does not have time to unwind completely between the winding periods (for example a spring which lasts 36 hours for a timepiece that is wound every day), it is more difficult to eliminate the irregularities of operation resulting from the period when the driving force of the spring is too high.
It is true, it is true, a long time ago, a mechanism known by the name of fusée and which allows a very exact adjustment of the power of the spring, but the delicacy of this mechanism limits it to marine chronometers; devices called "stops" have also been constructed which prevent both the spring being raised fully and this spring from fully relaxing, but these devices are relatively bulky and require the use of large springs. , since it is only the middle part of the spring that works.
The object of the present invention is a device for adjusting the force which, in a clockwork movement, is transmitted by the mainspring to the escapement, a device which allows the use of the spring even during its period of operation. start without causing any inconvenience to the regularity of the escapement. This device is characterized by a coupling, the driving part of which is connected to the spring and the part carried to the exhaust, one of these parts having an elastic part, which when the driving power exceeds a given maximum, brakes against a surface. fixed. The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a vertical sectional view and FIG. 2, in plan, part in section, of the first embodiment; Fig. 3 is a vertical view and FIG. 4, a plan view of the second embodiment.
In the first embodiment, 1 is the axis of a wheel set, journaled between a bridge a and the plate b; 2 is a pinion wedged on this axis and 3 a wheel wedged on a sleeve 11 mounted idle on the axis; at the lower end of the latter is wedged a cam 4 having a groove 5 at its periphery; this cam is surrounded by an elastic segment 6, split at 7 and having, at 8, a housing into which penetrates a drive pin 9, fixed to the plate 10 which is itself wedged on the sleeve 1-1; the lips 12 and 13 of the segment 6 and the walls of the opening 5 of the cam form between them a sort of chamber in which the clamping roller 14 is enclosed;
15 are two pegs fixed to the plate 10 and which prevent the elastic segment 6 from closing beyond a certain limit.
The pinion 2 is connected to the mainspring by the mobile 16 while the wheel 3 is connected to the exhaust by the mobile 17.
In operation, the motor barrel rotates the pinion 2 which rotates the cam 4-z the latter corner the roller 14 between the lips 12 and 13 of the segment 6 and drives the latter in rotation, and the segment drives, at its turn, the wheel 3 via the pin 9; if the driving power of the spring is too high, the cam 4 engages the roller 14 more deeply between the lips 13 and 12 of the segment and opens the latter which will brake against the plate.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 3 and 4, a plate 18 is wedged at the lower end of the shaft 1; on this plate are mounted three rollers 19 engaged in housings 20 of a disc 21 wedged on the sleeve 11; in this disc are cut elastic arms 22 having a stop surface 23 against which the rollers 19 come to rest.
When running, the mainspring turns the pinion 2 which in turn drives the plate 18; the rollers 19 come to rest against the stop surfaces 23 and thus drive the disc 21; when the power of the mainspring is too high, the rollers 19 move the elastic arms 22 which brake against the plate.
