L'appareil comporte une broche de con tinu à retordre à anneau avec curseur, cette broche portant la bobine d'enroulement et étant animée d'un mouvement de rotation que l'on peut faire varier à volonté, et, en outre, un cylindre creux entourant la bro- che et ayant le même axe qu'elle et situé normalement à l'intérieur de la bobine, ce cylindre étant animé d'un mouvement de ro tation calculé pour que la vitesse linéaire de -sa surface soit tout au moins égale à la vi tesse d'alimentation du fil, et la broche peut, pour le changement de bobine, être soule vée, tout en continuant à tourner, d'une hau teur égale à la hauteur de la bobine;
Winding device on spools of a continuously fed textile fiber. The present invention relates to an apparatus for winding a continuously fed textile fiber on reels, this apparatus allowing the easy and rapid replacement of a full reel by an empty reel.
This apparatus which also gives the textile fiber a more or less strong twist, depending on the desired purpose, finds its application in particular in continuous twisting machines where it is important to carry out the reel change in a very short time and without complicated manipulations, and also in spinning machines and especially in artificial silk spinning machines.
The apparatus comprises a continuous twisting ring spindle with slider, this spindle carrying the winding spool and being driven in a rotational movement which can be varied at will, and, in addition, a cylinder hollow surrounding the spindle and having the same axis as it and normally situated inside the coil, this cylinder being animated by a rotational movement calculated so that the linear speed of its surface is at least equal to the wire feed speed , and the spindle can, for the reel change, be raised, while continuing to turn, by a height equal to the height of the spool. coil;
so that the thread leaving the spool comes to roll on the hollow cylinder and that the cursor stops, the reverse movement bringing the empty spool back to the normal winding position. The accompanying drawing represents; for exemple. two embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a first form of the apparatus when the spindle is at its low position for winding; Fig. 2 shows this device when the spindle is in its high position, when the coil is changed; Fig. 3 is a corresponding view of another simplified form.
The yarn or fiber is fed at a constant speed V by the device supplied A: it is wound on the apparatus forming the subject of the invention which comprises a pin B on which can be fixed, at the end, a coil C, hollow cylindrical having an open end, a plate D which can be driven in an alternating up and down movement and which carries a slider E of a known model, and a hollow cylinder F concentric with the pin B and on which the thread must be wound during the change of spool C.
The spindle B which is driven by a rotational movement at a speed of N revolutions per minute, by a device of a known model, can, moreover, be raised by a length equal to the length l of the coil, then lowered to its original position; during this movement, the spindle continues to turn at speed N.
In normal operation, the wire which is supplied by A at speed V winds up on the coil C following the path shown in fig. 1, i.e. passing through the cursor .E. If the number of turns N is such that the peripheral speed of the surface of the coil C is equal to the feed speed V, the cursor remains stationary: but as long as the wire is wound on the coil, the winding diameter increases, so the peripheral speed also increases and the cursor starts to rotate. As the spool loads with thread, this results in a slight twist for that thread.
If we choose the speeds N and V in such a way that the peripheral speed of the surface of the coil C is greater than V, the cursor will turn from the start and give the wire a twist which will depend on the relative values chosen for N and V.
When the spool is completely filled with wire, to proceed with the replacement, the spindle B of the length L is raised, this movement can be made abruptly or more or less slowly, and it is noted that the wire is wound up on the cylinder F without there being any breakage, nor, consequently, interruption in the continuous supply of the wire.
The speed n of rotation of the cylinder F is established so that the peripheral speed of the winding surface of the cylinder F is equal to or very slightly greater than the speed V, so that at the moment when the wire wraps around F, the cursor stops. It is therefore possible at this time, since the wire that goes from A to E no longer forms the ball around the axis, to remove the coil C and quickly put a vacuum in place, then cry lowers the spindle B and the thread is wound up on the new spool C without there being again any breakage or interruption in the continuous running of the thread: the operation is therefore carried out very quickly and very simply.
The cylinder F therefore receives wire only for a few fractions of a minute, at the time of the replacement of the coils, consequently it fills up very slowly and its winding diameter remains substantially the same for a long time. It will therefore suffice to clean it when the rolling speed becomes appreciably greater than V, it is noted that the cursor no longer remains stationary.
The number of turns n of cylinder F is therefore imposed once the speed V has been chosen when one wishes with this device to make wires with chosen twists, it is necessary that the spindle B turns independently of the cylinder F so that we can make will laugh, and choose N with respect to n.
But in many cases, the use of the device for winding does not involve the obligation to give the wire a determined twist, this being, on the contrary, only an accessory; when this is the case, for simplicity of construction and operation, it will be advantageous, as a particular case of the apparatus described above, to have spindle B and cylinder F controlled by the same mechanism, c ' that is, the speeds N and n will be equal.
Fig. 3 shows the simplified apparatus comprising the spindle B, the coil C, the hollow cylinder P as before, the dragging of the spindle B being carried out by the lug g fixed in the cylinder F and sliding in a groove made in spindle B to allow it to be raised or lowered while continuing to turn.
The entire apparatus is driven, for example, by the pulley P. In this case, the peripheral speed of the surface of the coil C is greater than that of the surface of the cylinder P, the ratio of these two speeds being the ratio of the diameters of the cylinders.
Two examples of the speeds that can be given to different moving devices are given below.
1. We have a wire fed continuously at a speed of 40 m per minute and we want to give it a twist of 70 revolutions per minute without having an interruption at the time of the reel changes. The diameter of cylinder F being 2 cm, so that the cursor remains stationary when the coil is changed, the number of turns of F must be chosen equal to
EMI0003.0011
The diameter of the coil C being 6 cm to have 70 turns, we see by the calculation that N must be chosen equal to 3000 turns.
2. If the wire being fed at a speed of 100 m per minute, we only care to collect it on spools, without interrupting for changes the continuous supply of the wire, the dimensions of F and C being the same. , we will use the simplified device with a single speed of rotation and we will have to choose the number of revolutions N equal to
EMI0003.0013
The number of cursor turns will be
EMI0003.0014
that is, the wire will have a twist of 10.7 turns per meter.
