<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Qu'il s'agisse du système représenté fig.l ou de la variante de la fig. 2 , le fonctionnement de l'appareil est le suivant ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

"An improved device for spinning all textile materials or the like"
It is known that in the current technique of spinning, the spinning of textile fibers, whatever they may be, is obtained by three main means: the / continuous loom with: rings, the continuous loom with fins and the winder loom. when, in these various trades, it is a question of adjusting the tension of the yarn at the time of winding, most of the time we find ourselves in the presence of quite particular difficulties. You cannot easily spin linen on a loom.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
rings, as with cotton, the ordinary continuous winged loom has been abandoned.
The object of the present invention is a mechanical device for spinning any kind of fiber.
This system relates to both the wing loom and the loom & rings.
In the accompanying drawings, there is shown: FIG. 1 in elevation and in section, a loom element (breech) constituting member of the invention, the coil being of frustoconical shape.
Fig. 2 a variant of execution with cylindrical coil.
Iig. 3 and 4 of the diagrams showing the general profile of the trades and relating to the applications of FIGS. 1 and 2.
The spindle 1 of the loom is of any system, controlled in the usual way, for example by a drum 2, a ribbon or rope 3 which passes over the spindle nut 4, and this spindle receives a spindle or bobbin 5 This spindle or bobbin driven by the rotation of the spindle must be covered, by the reciprocating movement of the down and down plate 6, with the wire 7 delivered by the stretching rollers 18, or by the reciprocating movement of the spindle it - even, plate 6 then remaining fixed.
It will be noticed that in the retier rings the winding and both the twisting are produced simultaneously by the rotation of the spindle itself and by the frictional resistances offered by the sliders on the ring itself.
In the looms with fins, it is the rotation of the fin which produces the torsion, and it is the systematic braking, increased or not, of the artificial one which produces the winding of the wire on the spool, the latter braking being obtained, in the usual way, by means of weights "drags" (English expression known to all those skilled in the French art).
The object of the present invention is, above all, to allow the twisting of the yarn and the execution and formation of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
coil by combining; , in that / that sort, the action has the ring and that of the fin.
For this purpose, on the raising and lowering plate 6 and concentrically with the spindle 1, is a bushing.8 on which is fixed, in any suitable manner, a metal ring or other 9. All the parts 8 and 9 by means of a suitably arranged, preferably ball bearing 10, can rotate freely about the axis xx of the spindle (fig.l).
This ring 9 is provided with a preferably pair number of pigtails 11 and it is perfectly rotated with reserve of a groove 12, on which the braking device well known in the spinning machines is applied. fins, that is to say by means of a brake rope 13 terminated by a drag weight 14.
Incidentally, a column 15 can support the wire guide holder bars 16, with hinges 17 for lifting the spool.
Whether it is the system shown in fig.l or the variant of fig. 2, the operation of the device is as follows;
The delivery roller 18 has a linear development per unit of time, which, as in the art known at the present time, is in accordance with the speed of the spindle or the ring.
The wire 7 which is wound on the tube, the nozzle, the bobbin or even on the bare spindle is previously inserted into one of the pigtails 11, so that through the latter the ring 9 is animated by a rotational movement due to the tangential resultant of the rotational forces.
The fact that the ring 9 is mounted on a ball bearing or the like having the same advantages, substantially eliminates, from a practical point of view, any external resistance.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The delay necessary for the formation of the wire under the desired tension and for its winding on the spool will be obtained, in the invention, by means of a braking of the same type as that which is employed on the spool in the looms. continuous with ordinary fins, that is to say by means of the rope 13 and the drag weight 14 acting on an arc of the groove 12 of the ring 9.
It will of course remain that all changes of material, all applications to any spindle spinning machine, all changes in shape or size, either in the ring itself, or in the yarn guides, or tails of pigs which accompany it, either in the ball bearings or other analogues employed, or finally in the intermediate wire guides which have not been mentioned by way of example, cannot be considered as going outside the field of the invention. tion.
