Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines beständigen Derivates einer Leukoverbindung. <B>Es</B> wurde gefunden, dass man ein bestän diges Derivat der Leukoverbindung des Thio- indigos erhält, wenn man diese -mit Phosphor- trichlorid in Gegenwart von Pyridin behan- tlelt. Das neue Produkt, das durch seine Be ständigkeit ausgezeichnet ist, stellt ein schwach rot gefärbtes Pulver dar, welches in Wasser und verdünnten Mineralsäuren kaum löslich ist.
Beim Behandeln mit Alkalien bil det sich eine orangerote Küpe, aus welcher durch Oxydation Thioindigo gebildet wird. Beispiel: 60 Teile getrockneter Leukothioindigo werden zu einem Gemisch, welches durch langsames Eingiessen von 120 Teilen P'hos- phortrichlorid in 480 Teilen Pyridin bei 0 bis 5 erhalten wird, zugegeben. Die Reak tionsmasse wird dann kurze Zeit bei gewöhn licher Temperatur und i/2 Stunde bei 50 bis 55 gerührt. Beim Verdünnen mit<B>3000</B> Tei len.
Wasser scheidet sich das neue Derivat in Form eines rötlichgrauen Pulvers ab, wel ches filtriert und getrocknet wird.
Process for the preparation of a stable derivative of a leuco compound. It has been found that a stable derivative of the leuco compound of thiolindigo is obtained if it is treated with phosphorus trichloride in the presence of pyridine. The new product, which is characterized by its resistance, is a pale red colored powder that is hardly soluble in water and dilute mineral acids.
When treating with alkalis, an orange-red vat forms, from which thioindigo is formed through oxidation. Example: 60 parts of dried leukothioindigo are added to a mixture which is obtained by slowly pouring 120 parts of phosphorus trichloride into 480 parts of pyridine at 0-5. The reaction mass is then stirred for a short time at the usual temperature and 1/2 hour at 50 to 55. When diluting with <B> 3000 </B> parts.
Water separates the new derivative in the form of a reddish gray powder, which is filtered and dried.
