La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation de la première forme d'exécution; la fig. 2 en mon tre un détail en plan, et la fig. 3 est une coupe suivant l'axe vertical axial de la fig. 1; Les fig. 4 et5 sont une vue en élévation, respectivement en plan d'une deuxième forme d'exécution; Les fig. 6 et7 sont une vue en élévation, respectivement en plan de la troisième forme d'exécution; La fig. 8 montre une variante de cette dernière forme d'exécution;
Watt blocking device minus two nuts. The present invention relates to a device for blocking at least two nuts, a device which will be used with advantage to block the nuts of the bolts usually used to fix the fishplates to the track rails. railroads. Although during their installation these nuts are tightened very strongly against the fishplates, the trepidations of the trains and the settlement of the. material often produce at the, long loosening of these nuts which could unscrew completely and fall on the track, if a continual check of the latter had not location.
The inventor has already proposed a device remedying to this drawback, a device in which the nuts are locked by means of an elastic blade placed between two consecutive nuts and whose elasticity ensures that it is held in position and at the same time prevents loosening of the nuts. But some railroad companies do not readily use elastic parts on the tracks for fear that in the long run the elasticity will fail.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate this objection. It relates to a device for locking at least two nuts. This is characterized in that it comprises two parts, one of which is clamped between the two nuts and their support, while the other, which a connecting device makes it possible to secure with the first, is placed in part at least between the two nuts and comes into contact with them so to prevent them from turning.
The accompanying drawing represents, by by way of example, various embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the first embodiment; fig. 2 in showing a detail in plan, and fig. 3 is a section along the axial vertical axis of FIG. 1; Figs. 4 and 5 are an elevational view, respectively in plan, of a second embodiment; Figs. 6 and 7 are an elevation view, respectively a plan view of the third embodiment; Fig. 8 shows a variant of the latter embodiment;
Figs. 9 and 10, on the one hand, and Il and 12, on the other hand, show in plan and in elevation two forms execution-, fi #, -. 13 el, 14 each represent an elevation of an embodiment.
The embodiment shown in fi-. 1 to 3 consists of two metal parts.,; rigid. The first part a consists of a plate with two holes allowing it to slide over the rods of two en consecutive bolts of so that it is clamped between the fishplate and the two corre sponding nuts b. In its middle part, this plate has a vertical tab à ' projecting on the plate at a small distance from it and cut from the latter by stamping.
it is a second rigid metal part (fig. 2) shaped in an arc of a circle, and the two ends of which are curved at right angles.
The plate being clamped between the fish plate and the nuts, which allows it. to play at the same time the role of locking washer for these nuts, one engages the, part c as z # shown in fip 1 and 3 between the, plate a and the, tongue ai, its curved ends to an-the right pressing on the two faces facing the nuts. In this position, where it is surely held by the tongue a ', the part c prevents any rotation of one or the other of the nuts.
If, as a result of the heaping of the material, a light occurs between the fishplate and the nuts, it will suffice, in order to be able to screw them in completely, to remove the c plate then to the replace once the new tightening has been carried out. The hook d practiced at the top of the tab a 'prevents the part c from accidentally coming up.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 4 and 5 # the plate a is provided with a tongue d per pendicular to the plate, and the free end of which is curved to right angle. The part c has the> -general shape of a U. Its middle part slips under the tab d, while its curved ends rest against the nuts.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 6 and 7, plate a is fitted with two per-pendicular tabs f 'f' between which s' engages the part. e forward. the shape of a Z, of which the two small branches curving outwards rest against two faces of each eru. In the variant of fig. 8, the small branches of the Z have an indentation g (it. Allows the device to lock the two nuts, even when it is their edges which, in particular, look and not their faces.
In the embodiment of fig. 9 and 10, the plate e presents a certain analogy of with that of the embodiment of fi-. 1 to 3; this plate is fixed on the plate a by means of two tabs h 'and h' carried by this last perpendicular to soli plane.
The ends è 'of the plate c are curved so to to be able to embrace three faces of each nut, they have in their middle part -an opening c' to possibly receive as it is shown to left in fig. 9, one of the edges of a nut. In the space i between the plates a and c-, a tool can be engaged to remove la, plate c more easily when the nuts are tightened again for example.
In the embodiment of fi-. 11 and 12, the plate has two ears P and k 'pierced with two holes < B> through which we can enua-er the, split pin 1. The plate e el -1 t, c s </ I> , engages between plate a and pin 1. the ends of the latter being folded down at right angles as usual.
In the embodiments of fi-. 13 and z: 1 14, the plate c is replaced by a ba- (Yuctte cylindrical wt 'respectively iii '. n î held on the plate a by flanges w respectively îi' cut in this plate. After having fixed this rod on the plate a, the nuts are screwed by separating the ends by means of pliers. of the ba- (Mette which subsequently resume their normal position and then trap the nuts between their curved ends.
In yarn. 13, o are the two projections cut out in the plate and curved at right angles, projections which serve as a support for the rod w ' and prevent the ends of it from moving away from the nuts once they are in place,
