Description

Device for the automatic winding of timepieces by means of a rotating shaft. The present invention relates to a device for the automatic winding of timepieces by means of a rotary shaft. This device will be used with advantage to automatically wind the timepieces, worn by automobiles, by means of the flexible cable terminating at the revolution counter.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof and FIG. 2 a plan view; figs. â and 4 show a detail; fig. 5 relates to a variant.

The rotary shaft a intended to actuate the revolution counter has a worm b meshing with a hollow toothed wheel c, traversed by a shaft d,. on which are fixed the cam e and the pinion f; the latter in mesh with the g wheel wedged on the g shaft solidary to the barrel shaft , all mounted in a housing h. Inside the wheel c, the cam e wedged on the shaft d, is surrounded by two leaf springs i, the ends of which are fixed to the wheel c.

As long as the barrel spring is not reassembled, if the shaft has rotated, it will drive the cam r through the springs i and will wind the barrel. If this re-assembly is complete, the cam e will oppose a great resistance to the springs i, and the latter will begin to turn around it without dragging it. To reduce friction, two rotating rollers e1 have been mounted on the cam e.

In the variant of fig. 5, the two leaf springs i are replaced by a spring 1 in the form of a U, presenting .two small windows in which the balls of Z bearing. These are prevented from falling by the curved ends outside the vertical branches of the U.
