Description

Flange for slotted springs. The watch springs and more particularly the barrel springs are packaged and shipped in the stamped state. For this purpose the spring, after having been stamped, is provided with a flange generally formed by a simple wire serving as a link.

The object of the present invention is a flange for slotted springs and which consists of a washer the recessed part of which is intended to receive and hold the slipped spring.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, a single embodiment of the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows it from the front supporting a spring; Fig. 2 is a section taken along line A-B of FIG. 1.

The flange shown consists of a ron delle a, preferably of cardboard. The estrapadé spring b is placed in the central recessed part c of the washer, still tending to. develop concentrically, it is held there by wedging.

On the washer a are carved numbers e relating to the dimensions of the spring b. In the particular case; the number 12 indicates the width of the spring, ie '2o / ioo, while the number 7 indicates its diameter, which is 7 mm. These measurements correspond to a conventional scale.

The flange can be made of cardboard, metal, for example aluminum, or any other suitable material.

The described flange offers the following advantages a) The spring can be placed in the flange very quickly and with the greatest ease, without using any tools; the blade runs no risk of being damaged by the flange, which is not the case with the flange formed by the wire ligature used until now.

       b) The dresser, who may have a stock of springs of different sizes in bulk, can easily disentangle them using the numbers on the flange.
