En regard d'autres dispositifs de fixation connus, notamment de ceux dans lesquels le trou du piton et la goupille sont inclinés sur une des faces du prisme triangulaire formant le piton et sont parallèles au plan des spires du spiral, le dispositif selon l'in vention présente une grand nombre d'avantages parmi lesquels on peut citer les suivants: Fabrication très facile et économique du piton dont le perçage et le fendage peuvent être exécutés sur une machine à décolleter; Opération de fixation du spiral au piton considérablement simplifiée, du fait de la po sition relative des divers organes entre eux; Spiral non soumis aux efforts déformants résultant de l'action de la goupille, et le spiral reste parfaitement plat;
Device for fixing the outer end of the hairspring of clockwork movements and other devices. The object of the present invention is a device for fixing the outer end of the hairspring of clockwork movements and other apparatus, in which a pin, engaged in a hole of a stationary member of the clockwork movement or other apparatus , maintains the outer end of the hairspring fixed on this member. The device according to the invention differs from other known fixing devices in that the axes of the pin and of the hole in which the latter is engaged are perpendicular to the plane of the turns of the hairspring.
Three embodiments of the object of the invention are given, schematically and by way of example, in the accompanying drawing in.
which: Fig. 1 is a view from below of the first form; of which fig. 2 is a side view along the arrow of the line I-I of FIG, 1; fig. 3 is a view from below of the second form, of which fig. 4 is a side view along the arrow on the line II-II of FIG. 3; fig. 5 and 6 are bottom and side views of the third form.
In the three embodiments, the outer end 8 of the hairspring 1 is kept fixed on a stud 2 by a pin 7 secured in a hole 6 made in the stud parallel to its axis. The eyebolt 2 is held fixed on the cock 3 by a tightening screw 4, and the axis of its hole 6, as well as the axis of the pin 7, are perpendicular to the plane of the spiral turns, the latter being shown only partially in the drawing.
In the first embodiment, fig. 1 and 2, the outer end 8 of the hairspring is clamped between the pin 7 and an extension 5 of the pin 2 which has the shape of a triangular prism.
In the second embodiment, fig. 3 and 4, this outer end 8 of the hairspring is engaged in a groove 9 cut in the eyelet which is thus split, and in which it is clamped by the pin 7; the peak also has the shape of a triangular prism. The third embodiment, fig. 5 and 6, does not differ from the second, fig. 3 and 4, that the eyebolt has the shape of a cylinder.
In the three embodiments, the position of the hole 6 relative to that of the protrusion 5, respectively of the groove 9 of the eyebolt, is chosen such that, depending on the thickness of the strip of the hairspring, the latter is tightened by driving the pin in the hole, to the degree required for a good fixing.
The device according to the invention may differ from the three embodiments described and shown, for example: by the shape of the stud and of its attachment to the rooster, the stud possibly being. in one piece with the rooster; the pin could be carried by a screw screwed into a part of the cock or other projecting member on the eyebolt, the fixing and dismantling of the outer end of the hairspring being carried out by screwing and unscrewing this screw, etc.
With regard to other known fixing devices, in particular those in which the hole in the eyebolt and the pin are inclined on one of the faces of the triangular prism forming the eyebolt and are parallel to the plane of the turns of the hairspring, the device according to the in vention has a large number of advantages, among which the following may be mentioned: Very easy and economical manufacture of the eyebolt, the drilling and splitting of which can be performed on a bar turning machine; Operation of fixing the hairspring to the eyebolt considerably simplified, due to the relative position of the various organs between them; Spiral not subjected to the deforming forces resulting from the action of the pin, and the balance-spring remains perfectly flat;
Easy to remove the pin for removing the hairspring; By putting the pin in place in the eyebolt, the hairspring is not subjected to a sliding force and therefore does not move in the eyebolt.
After assembly, the unnecessary and excessively long parts of the pin, on either side of the eyebolt, can very easily be cut without risking damage to the hairspring; After fixing the hairspring on the eyebolt and fixing the eyebolt on the cock, the final position of the hairspring can very easily be adjusted, using pliers for example, without being hampered by the pin, etc.
