Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 100705. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines indigoiden Farbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass, man einen wert- vollen indigoiden Farbstoff herstellen kann, wenn man das ss-Thionaphtssatin, beispiels- weise erhalten nach dem Verfahren des Pa tentes Nr.
93486, .mit Oxythionaphten kon densiert und das so erhaltene Produkt bro- miert. Der Farbstoff bildet ein dunkles Pul ver, löst sieh in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit dunkelblaugrüner Farbe und gibt mit Hydrosulfit und Natronlauge eine gelbe Küpe, aus welcher Wolle in licht und wasch- echten roten, Baumwolle in sehr licht-,
wasch- und chlorechten bordeaux Tönen gefärbt wird.
Beispiel: <B>In</B> 7000 Teilen Alkohol werden 214 Teile ss-Thionaphtisatin und 150 Teile Oxythio- naphten eingetragen und hierauf einige Stun den am Rückflusskühler gekocht. Die Kon densation kann durch Zusatz von Ammoniak oder Dimethyl.ani:lin beschleunigt werden. Nachdem sie beendet ist, wird filtriert, ge waschen und getrocknet.
Die gleiche Reaktion findet auch statt, wenn idie Komponenten zusammen in Chlor benzol, zweckmässig in Gegenwart eines Kon- -densationsmittels, wie Chlorzink, erwärmt werden, oder mit .Schwefelsäure und Eisessig behandelt werden.
346 Teile des so erhaltenen Produktes werden nun bei 0 bis +5<B>'</B>in eine Mischung von 9000 Teilen 98 %-iger Schwefelsäure mit 144 Teilen Brom eingetragen. Man rührt noch einige ,Stunden unter Kühlung, dann lässt man ,die Temperatur auf 20' steigen und rührt weitere 14 Stunden. Hierauf wird auf Eis ausgetragen, der abgeschiedene Farbstoff filtriert und getrocknet.

The same reaction also takes place if the components are heated together in chlorobenzene, expediently in the presence of a condensation agent such as zinc chloride, or are treated with sulfuric acid and glacial acetic acid.
346 parts of the product thus obtained are then introduced at 0 to +5 into a mixture of 9000 parts of 98% strength sulfuric acid with 144 parts of bromine. The mixture is stirred for a few more hours with cooling, then the temperature is allowed to rise to 20 'and stirred for a further 14 hours. It is then poured onto ice, and the deposited dye is filtered and dried.
