Description

Calendar watch movement. The object of the invention is a date watch movement which offers this feature that the barrel wheel carries a flexible finger which drives the barrel wheel on each revolution; a toothed transmission meshing with the date wheel.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.

The cannon wheel 1, driven by the pin 2 of the timer 3, carries a flexible finger 4, that is to say this finger made res out in its plane of rotation. The finger 4 drives the toothed gear 5 with one tooth, with each revolution of the barrel wheel 4 which rotates at the rate of one revolution in twelve hours. The reference 5 meshes with the date wheel 6 mounted with heavy friction on a tenon 7. The barrel of the wheel 6 carries the hand 8 marking the date on an appropriate graduation of the watch dial. The finger 4 being flexible, it is possible to update the date hand 8, even if the finger 4 is in engagement with the reference 5; the disadvantage of the shoulder of the finger 4 is also avoided.

This date mechanism can be applied to watch movements of usual construction, without it being necessary to make changes to the caliber; its construction is simpler than that of known date mechanisms, since it does not include stars or necklaces.
