Abstract

L'invention porte sur une plaquette de coupe (100), qui présente une partie de butée supérieure (106), au niveau de sa surface supérieure (102), et deux parties de butée inférieures (110, 112) et une partie d'arrêt (114), au niveau de sa surface inférieure (108). Les deux parties de butée inférieures (110, 112) définissent des plans inférieurs (P1, P2) parallèles et espacés l'un de l'autre. La surface de butée supérieure (102) définit un plan supérieur (P3) qui forme un premier angle (a) avec les plans inférieurs (P1, P2). La plaquette de coupe (100) présente une surface en creux (124), au niveau de sa surface avant (118), qui forme un bord de coupe (216) ayant une surface d'attaque (104) formée au niveau de la surface supérieure (102). La partie d'arrêt (114) définit un plan d'arrêt (P4), qui forme un second angle (T) avec un plan en creux (PR) défini par la surface en creux (124). Un plan de référence (P5), perpendiculaire au plan supérieur (102) et passant par la partie de butée supérieure (106), coupe les premier et second plans inférieurs (P1, P2) à des première et seconde lignes d'intersection (II, 12), qui sont espacées des première et seconde parties de butée inférieures (110, 112).
