Abstract

L'invention porte sur des procédés qui permettent de déterminer l'absence ou la présence d'un ou de plusieurs types de cancer chez un animal. Dans certains modes de réalisation, des quantités de lipides dans un échantillon (par exemple un liquide organique ou un traitement de celui-ci) provenant de l'animal sont utilisées avec un modèle prédictif pour effectuer la détermination. Les quantités de lipides peuvent être mesurées, dans certains cas, à l'aide d'un système de spectrométrie de masse.
