Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un broyeur à cylindres (40) prévu pour écraser une matière, un classificateur (44) étant disposé sur le broyeur (40) pour séparer la matière écrasée. Le broyeur (40) comprend un mécanisme de broyage (64, 66) qui comporte une pluralité de cylindres de broyage (64) et une couronne de broyage (66) qui coopèrent pour pulvériser la matière dans un logement de broyeur (48), lequel définit une chambre de broyage (54). Le classificateur (44) est un classificateur de type centrifuge comportant un rotor entraîné par un moteur (70) disposé dans un logement de classificateur (74), définissant une chambre de classification (80). Le rotor (70) comporte une pluralité de pales (72) qui s'étendent vers l'extérieur depuis le rotor (70). Lorsque le rotor (70) tourne dans la chambre de classification (80), les pales (72) séparent les particules de petite taille des grosses particules en faisant passer les particules de petite taille à travers les pales (72), et en mettant en contact les grosses particules avec le logement de classificateur (74) et en les propulsant contre celui-ci. Les grosses particules tombent à travers un passage annulaire extérieur (104) défini par un déflecteur (100) et le logement de broyeur (48), pour revenir dans le mécanisme de broyage (64, 66).
