Abstract
La présente invention concerne un filament de fibre de verre au moins partiellement recouvert, comprenant plusieurs fibres de verre qui présentent une composition de revêtement compatible avec la résine sur au moins une partie d'une surface d'au moins une desdites fibres de verre. La composition de revêtement compatible avec la résine comprend : (a) plusieurs particules inorganiques lamellaires présentant une dureté de Mohs qui n'excède pas la dureté de Mohs desdites fibres de verre; et (b) au moins un matériau polymère. Cette invention concerne également l'utilisation d'une composition de revêtement compatible avec la résine comprenant (a) plusieurs particules discrètes constituées de matériaux choisis parmi les matériaux organiques non expansibles à chaud, les matériaux polymères inorganiques, les matériaux composites non expansibles à chaud et des mélanges de ces derniers, ces particules ayant une dimension moyenne qui est suffisante pour permettre l'imprégnation complète du filament; (b) au moins un matériau lubrifiant, différent desdites plusieurs particules discrètes; et (c) au moins un matériau formant un film. La composition de revêtement compatible avec la résine peut également comprendre : (a) plusieurs particules organiques creuses non expansibles à chaud; et (b) au moins un matériau lubrifiant, différent desdites particules organiques creuses.
