Abstract
Un appareil de mesure de la concentration d'un matériau, tel que de l'eau, dans un autre matériau, tel que du pétrole brut ou raffiné, comprend une ligne coaxiale (14) de transmission de micro-ondes formée d'un conduit qui reçoit le matériau et d'un conducteur central (22) protégé par une gaine diélectrique (27) qui sert à éviter des courts-circuits dans la voie de transmission. Un circuit oscillateur (30) couplé à la ligne de transmission est commandé par un circuit astable commandé en tension. Un récepteur de signaux contrôle les changements de fréquence dus à l'entraînement de l'impédance de l'oscillateur provoqué par des changements de la constante diélectrique du mélange. La puissance incidente et réfléchie ou transmise par rapport à la section de mesure est mesurée afin de déterminer si une émulsion d'huile dans l'eau ou d'eau dans l'huile est présente et de vérifier la concentration d'un fluide dans un autre à une fréquence particulière de fonctionnement.
