Abstract

PNEUMÁTICO DESTINADO A SER MONTADO SOB PRESSÃO SOBRE UM ARO DE RODA DE VEÍCULO A invenção se refere aos problemas suscetíveis de serem causados aos pneumáticos pelo choque de obstáculos na via, por exemplo por ocasião do encontro com um pe-queno buraco ou uma borda de calçada. Acontece nesse caso que a parede do pneumático entre o topo e o friso se encontra pinçada entre a saliência formada pelo gancho de aro e um obstáculo externo quando o choque da banda de rodagem contra o obstáculo provoca o fechamento da cavidade interna do pneumático, dando assim origem momentaneamente a tensões de compressão dinâmicas elevadas perpendicu- larmente à parede do pneumático que podem ir até provocar a ruptura dos reforços. Um elemento de proteção elasticamente deformável que possui um módulo de rigidez elevado na direção dessas tensões é utilizado para amortecer as mesmas pelo menos parcialmente, por exemplo dispondo para isso uma camada de revestimento de goma guarnecida de estrias na parede interna do pneumático.
