Abstract

SISTEMA DE GERAÇÃO DE IMAGENS, E, MÉTODO PARA GERAR UMA IMAGEM COMBINADA FOTO-ACÚSTICA E DE ULTRA-SOM DE UMA AMOSTRA. A presente descrição é direcionada a um sistema de geração de imagens combinadas foto-acústicas (PA) e de ultra-som, capaz de gerar simultaneamente imagens PA e de ultra-som. Estas imagens podem ser combinadas e visualizadas em tempo real. As imagens PA são adquiridas disparando um sistema de iluminação em uma amostra da qual está se obtendo a imagem e formando feixe dos sinais foto-acústicos recebidos. Imagens de ultra-som são formadas transmitindo energia de ultra-som no objeto e formando feixe dos sinais refletidos. A presente descrição descreve um controlador de temporização para permitir que transmissões do sistema de iluminação e ultra-som sejam temporizadas uma em relação à outra. Isto permite que ambas modalidades operem próximo a suas taxas de quadro máximas, enquanto é evitada interferência de sinal.
