Abstract

"MéTODO PARA HABILITAR UM SISTEMA DE PROCESSAMENTO DE IMAGEM DE VìDEO DE INFRAVERMELHO EM UM VEìCULO A MOTOR A DISTINGUIR ENTRE OBJETOS". Um veículo a motor (10) tem um sistema de vídeo que analisa imagens do interior do veículo a motor para detectar certas características para controlar funções do veículo a motor, tal como detectar a presença de uma pessoa no assento para controlar desenvolvimento de air bags (20) no evento de uma batida. o sistema emprega luz infravermelha para iluminar o interior do veículo sem afetar a capacidade do motorista em ver a estrada. Para distinguir diferentes objetos na imagem os quais têm cores similares, tal como uma pessoa vestida de preto sentando em um assento preto, um objeto selecionado, tal como o assento, é revestido com uma substância que altera a refletividade do objeto à luz infravermelha, embora não alterando a refletividade à luz visível. Assim a análise da imagem de infravermelho pode distinguir entre os objetos sem afetar a aparência do interior do veículo para um usuário humano.
