Compostos de fórmula (1) em que um de X e Y é alquila inferior, haloalquila, alquenila inferior, alquinila inferior, ou alcoxialquila; e o outro de X e Y é fenil opcionalmente substituído, piridila, tienila, ciclopropila, ou tiazolila; e Z é piridila substituída são úteis como inseticidas e acaricidas. Também são fornecidos novos procedimentos sintéticos e intermediários para preparar os compostos, composições pesticidas contendo os compostos, e métodos para controlar insetos e ácaros usando os compostos.
