A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a oxidação de hidrocarbonetos em presença de uma mistura de hidrogênio-oxigênio, em um catalisador contendo prata e contendo titânio, contendo a) um suporte contendo titânio e b) partículas de prata com um tamanho de partícula médio de 0,3 até 100nm.
