Abstract

"MáQUINA DE êMBOLO ROTATIVO A FLUIDO OU VAPOR". Uma máquina de êmbolo rotativo adapta o princípio Stirling e pode funcionar como um motor ou bomba de calor. Duas unidades de volume variável (1, 4) tem câmaras dotadas de n-lóbulos (3, 6) rotativas em torno de um eixo geométrico comum a uma primeira velocidade. Cada câmara contém um êmbolo de contorno triangular (com n+1 lados) (2, 5), estes sendo rotativos em torno de um eixo geométrico comum diferente a uma segunda velocidade diferente, e cooperando com os lóbulos para formar subcâmaras de expansão e redução. A relação da primeira para a segunda velocidade é de (n+1):n dutos (10,11) incorporando regeneradores proporcionam intercomunicação entre as câmaras (3,6) e são abertos e fechados pela rotação relativa de êmbolo para troca de fluido ou vapor entre as unidades. Aquecimento pode ser proporcionado por uma unidade, a unidade de expansão (1), e resfriamento para a outra, a unidade de compressão (4), e os dutos também podem incorporar dispositivos de aquecimento e de resfriamento.
