Abstract

"PROCESSADOR DE SINAL DIGITAL PARA RECEPçãO DEPADRõES MúLTIPLOS DE TELEVISãO". Um conversor detelevisão usa processamento de sinal digital (DSP) (12,26) paraproporcionar compatibilidade com diferentes padrões de televisãoincluindo padrões de vídeo NTSC e PAL e padrões de áudio FM,BTSC, DIN, Home Theatre, NICAM e padrões de áudio digitalindependentes. O processamento de áudio (26) é realizado sempassar o áudio através de um filtro Nyquist (72) usado para vídeo.Isso elimina a conversão de AM para PM melhorando a linearidadeda luminância e ganho e fase diferenciais. Isso também impedeque a informação de vídeo module na fase a interportadora deáudio, dessa forma eliminando os componentes de "zumbido," dovídeo no áudio. O processamento de áudio (26) inclui umdemodulador FM síncrono (40) e um demodulador FM/QPSKsíncrono separado (44) para lidar com os diferentes padrões deáudio. A manipulação de padrões históricos de TV analógica comDSP também possibilita a combinação vantajosa de recepção detelevisão analógica e digital em um único VLSI ASIC digital.
