Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"SENSOR PARA GASES MúLTIPLOS"<D>. Um sensor de gases múltiplos é provido, o qual modula um feixe de luz polarizada sobre uma faixa larga de comprimentos de onda entre dois componentes de polarização ortogonal alternantes. Os dois componentes de polarização ortogonais do feixe modulado por polarização são dirigidos ao longo de duas trajetórias óticas distintas. Pelo menos uma trajetória ótica contém um ou mais meios de diferenciação espectral, com cada meio de diferenciação espectral possuindo características de absorção espectral de um ou mais gases de interesse sendo medidos. O feixe modulado por polarização combinado é segmentado em uma ou mais regiões espectrais menores de interesse onde um ou mais gases de interesse têm uma faixa de absorção. A diferença de internsidade entre os dois componentes de polarização ortogonais é então determinada em cada região espectral segmentada de interesse como uma indicação da emissão/absorção espectral do feixe de luz pelos gases de interesse na trajetória de medição, a qual contém a concentração dos gases de interesse.
