<B>DISPOSITIVO DE CLASSIFICAçãO DE FIBRA E MéTODO PARA A DETERMINAçãO DE PROPRIEDADES DE UMA AMOSTRA DE FIBRA<D> Um dispositivo de classificação de fibra (20) que tem uma janela de amostra (14) para visualização de uma amostra de fibra (12). Uma fonte de luz (18) provê luz (16), que é dirigida para amostra de fibra e refletida (34) pela mesma. Um detector fotossensível (10) é posicionado, para receber a luz refletida, e ele detecta a luminosidade, a vermelhidão e a amarelidão da amostra de fibra. Um meio de processamento (30) atribui um grau preliminar à amostra de fibra, com base, pelo menos em parte, na luminosidade e amarelidão de amostra de fibra. O meio de processamento também ajusta seletivamente um grau preliminar para um grau final com base, pelo menos em parte, na vermelhidão da amostra de fibra. O detector fotossensível tem um ou mais de um espectrómetro (28), uma câmera (38) ou um conjunto de três fotodiodos (32, 26, 36). Um primeiro fotodiodo detecta a luz com um comprimento de onda entre cerca de 505 nanómetros e cerca de 605 nanómetros, correspondente à luminosidade da amostra de fibra. Um segundo fotodiodo detecta a luz com um comprimento de onda entre cerca de 430 nanómetros e cerca de 530 nanómetros, correspondente à amarelidão da amostra de fibra. Um terceiro fotodiodo detecta a luz com um comprimento de onda entre cerca de 550 nanómetros e cerca de 650 nanómetros, correspondente à vermelhidão da amostra de fibra. O meio de processamento analisa a informação do detector fotossensível, para determinar a vermelhidão média, a variância na luminosidade, a variância na vermelhidão, a variância na amarelidão, o contraste na luminosidade, o percentual de pontos amarelos, e o contraste na amarelidão da amostra de fibra. O ajuste seletivo do grau preliminar até o grau final é baseado, pelo menos em parte, nesses parâmetros.
