Abstract

<B>APARELHO E MéTODO PARA AMPLIFICAR UM SINAL<D> O aparelho inclui um amplificador (204) que possui uma entrada e uma saída, sendo a saída do amplificador acoplada a uma entrada de um amplificador Doherty (208). Um amplificador Doherty (208) inclui uma entrada de controle e uma saída Doherty. O aparelho inclui, ainda, um detector (224) que possui uma entrada acoplada à saída do amplificador Doherty (208). O detector fornece um sinal detectado em sua saída a um controlador (228), o controlador respondendo ao sinal detectado mediante a produção de uma primeira saída de controle (230) e de uma segunda saída de controle (231). A primeira saída de controle é acoplada à entrada do regulador de comutação (232), tendo o regulador de comutação uma saída acoplada à entrada de controle do amplificador Doherty. A segunda saída de controle é acoplada a uma entrada de controle de um atenuador variável (202), sendo a saída do atenuador variável acoplada à entrada do amplificador (204).
