Abstract
"RELóGIO". Descreve-se um relógio dotado de uma luz de fundo que permite que informações horárias ou outras informações sejam identificadas com bom contraste, mesmo quando a luz de fundo está desligada, compreendendo um cristal líquido (6) selado em um espaço entre um primeiro e um segundo substratos transparentes (1 e 4), cada um tendo um eletrodo formado sobre cada uma de suas superfícies opostas, para formar um painel (10) de cristal líquido que indica pelo menos uma entre informações horárias e informações de calendário; uma placa polarizadora do tipo absorvente (2) que está disposta sobre o lado externo do primeiro substrato (1) no lado de visualização do painel (10) de cristal líquido e que absorve a polarização linear que tem um plano de vibração perpendicular aos eixos geométricos de transmissão; e uma placa polarizadora do tipo refletora (3) que está disposta naquele lado do segundo substrato (4) que é oposto ao lado de visualização e reflete polarização linear que tem um plano de vibração perpendicular ao eixo de transmissão, sendo a placa polarizadora (3) dotada de uma luz de fundo (8) no seu lado externo.
