''LIGA DE AçO INOXIDáVEL DE ALTA RESISTêNCIA, DúCTIL A ENTALHE DE ENDURECIMENTO POR PRECIPITAçãO''. Uma liga de aço de inoxidável martensítica, endurecida por precipitação, é apresentada consistindo essencialmente, em porcentagem em peso, de aproximadamente: máximo de 0,03 de C, máximo de 1,0 de Mn, máximo de 0,75 de Si, máximo de 0,040 de P, máximo de 0,020 de S, 10 a 13 Cr, 10,5 a 11,6 de Ni, 1,5 a 1,8 de Ti, 0,25 a 1,5 de Mo, máximo de 0,95 de Cu, máximo de 0,25 de Al, máximo de 0,3 de Nb, máximo de 0,010 de B, máximo de 0,030 de N, 0,001 a 0,025 de Ce, o restante sendo essencialmente ferro. A liga apresentada provê uma combinação única de resistência à rachadura de corrosão por tensão, rigidez, e resiliência, mesmo quando usada para formar peças de seção transversal grande. Um método para fazer esta liga inclui adicionar cério durante o processo de fusão em uma quantidade suficiente para resultar em uma quantidade efetiva de cério no produto de liga.
