<B>"FRAGMENTO DE áCIDO NUCLéICO ISOLADO, GENE QUIMéRICO, HOMOZIGOTO DE PLANTA DE SOJA, SEMENTES, PLANTA DE SOJA, MéTODO PARA PRODUçãO DE UMA PLANTA E SOJA, PRODUTO DE PROTEìNA DE SOJA, MéTODO PARA PRODUçãO DE UM PRODUTO DE PROTEìNA DE SOJA E MéTODO DE UTILIZAçãO DE UM HOMOZIGOTO DE PLANTA DE SOJA"<D>.A presente invenção refere-se à identidade, caracterização e manipulação de uma enzima de soja que resulta na alteração do teor de sacarídeo de rafinose, sacarose, ácido fítico e fosfato inorgânico de sementes de soja, acarretando dessa maneira a produtos de soja valiosos e úteis. A presente invenção compreende linhagens de soja com uma menor capacidade para a síntese de mio-inositol 1-fosfato no tecido das sementes em desenvolvimento em comparação com as sementes de outras linhagens de soja. Conforme aqui apregoado, a redução da atividade enzimática da sintase de mio-inositol 1-fosfato por qualquer um dentre vários meios vai resutlar em sementes de soja que apresentam o presente fenótipo.
