Abstract

Patente de Invenção:<B>"SìLICA GéIS MODIFICADAS POR ORGANOSSILICATO HIDROFóBICO"<D>. A presente invenção refere-se à sílica géis modificadas por organossilicatos hidrofóbicos e a método para sua preparação. O método compreende duas etapas, onde na primeira etapa para sílica hidrossol modificada por organossilicato é tratada termicamente na presença de um ácido mineral forte sob um pH menor que pH 1, para formar uma sílica hidrogel modificada por organossilicato. Na segunda etapa, a sílica hidrogel modificada por organossilicato é contactada com um composto de organossilício na presença de uma quantidade catalítica de um ácido forte para realizar operação de hidrofobia da sílica hidrogel modificada por organossilicato, desse modo formando uma sílica hidrogel modificada por organossilicato hidrofóbico a qual tem uma área superficial em uma faixa de 100 m²/g a 750 m²/g como medida no estado seco. Em um método preferido, a sílica gel modificada por organossilicato hidrofóbico é contactada com uma quantidade suficiente de um solvente orgânico imiscível em água para converter a sílica hidrogel modificada por organossilicato hidrofóbico em uma sílica organogel modificada por organossilicato hidrofóbico.
