Abstract
''VEDAçãO POR GáS SEM-CONTATO TIPO PRESSãO ESTáTICA''. Uma vedação por gás sem contato, tipo pressão estática, em que um diâmetro d2, de uma segunda parte circunferencial externa (42) de um anel de vedação estacionário (4), em contato com um segundo anel-O (62), é feito menor do que o diâmetro d1 de uma primeira parte circunferencial externa (41) do anel de vedação estacionário (4), em contato com um primeiro anel-O (62). Em razão de d1 > d2, a pressão de um gás de vedação (8), conduzido para um primeiro espaço fechado (71), produz uma força impelindo o anel de vedação estacionário (4) para um anel de vedação rotativo (2). Um segundo espaço fechado (72) comunica-se com uma região interna (F), através de um trajeto de entrada de contrapressão (45). A pressão de gás interna, no segundo espaço fechado (72), atua como contrapressão sobre o anel de vedação estacionário (4). A largura de entalhe b, dos entalhes geradores de pressão estática (9) formados sobre a face extrema de vedação do anel de vedação estacionário (4), é decidida de modo que uma relação da largura de entalhe d para a largura radial, isto é, a largura B da face de vedação da face extrema (40) do anel de vedação estacionário, isto é, b/B, é de 0,05 ( b/B ( 0,03.
