Abstract

"BOMBA DE CAVIDADE PROGRESSIVA E UNIDADE DE ROTOR PARA UMA BOMBA". é provida uma bomba de cavidade progressiva (cp). Em um primeiro aspecto, a bomba cp compreende um rotor conectado a um motor através de um eixo de acionamento que é isolado do material fluindo através da câmara de sucção da bomba, deste modo impedindo que material bombeado atinja as juntas do eixo de acionamento através de selos defeituosos. Em um outro aspecto, a bomba cp compreende uma unidade de rotor compreendendo um eixo de rotor que é unido a um membro de rotor por meio de um membro de conexão apresentando uma capacidade de falha estrutural, termicamente induzida, que provê um mecanismo seguro contra falha, inviolável, contra superaquecimento. Em uma forma de realização preferida, o membro de conexão é feito de liga de baixa temperatura de fusão que se converte no estado líquido a uma temperatura além da qual a operação de bombeamento pode não ser mais segura. Se a bomba se superaquecer, como um resultado de operação em vazio ou de bombeamento a seco, o membro de conexão se funde, terminando, assim, a relação de acionamento entre o eixo de rotor e o membro de rotor. A bomba cp aperfeiçoada é particularmente útil para o bombeamento de explosivos.
