um tubo de aço dobrado (1) inclui uma porção reta do tubo (2) e uma porção curvada (3) com um raio de curvatura r não inferior a três vezes um diâmetro externo od da porção reta do tubo (2), tendo uma composição química contendo, em percentual em massa: 0,04 a 0,08%, si: 0,05 a 0,50%, mn: 1,00 a 1,70%, p: 0,015% ou menos, s: 0,002% ou menos, cu: 0 a 0,50%, ni: 0 a 0,50%, cr: 0 a 0,50%, mo: 0 a 0,50%, sol.al: 0 a 0,10%, ca: 0 a 0,0050%, nb: 0 a 0,050%, v: 0 a 0,10%, e ti: 0 a 0,030%, com o balanço sendo fe e impurezas, em que ceq (= c + mn/6 + (cr + mo + v)/5 + (cu + ni)/15) é de 0,35% ou mais, limites de escoamento da porção reta do tubo (2) e a porção dobrada (3) são de 450 a 600 mpa, e as durezas vickers (hv10) da porção reta do tubo (2) e da porção dobrada (3) são 230 ou menos.
