a presente descrição provê métodos e composições para determinar se um paciente que exibe gastroenterite aguda vai beneficiar do tratamento com agentes terapêuticos que inibem o genogrupo i (gi) de norovírus ou o genogrupo ii (gii) de norovírus. os métodos aqui descritos baseiam-se na detecção do genogrupo i (gi) de norovírus e do genogrupo ii (gii) de norovírus em uma amostra de fezes sem extrair ácidos nucleicos virais de um espécimen clínico antes da realização de pcr de transcrição reversa em tempo real. kits para uso na prática dos métodos também são providos.
