Abstract
a presente invenção se refere a um método para formação de copolímeros em bloco usando um processo de polimerização radicalar viva por transferência de elétrons única (set-lrp). o processo pode ser usado para formar copolímeros em di e tribloco a partir de monômeros de vinila. em uma modalidade, o processo set-lrp compreende inicialmente formar um macroiniciador usando set-lrp para formar um primeiro bloco de um copolímero em di ou tribloco e, então, usar set-lrp para formar blocos adicionais do copolímero. os copolímeros em bloco produzidos têm índices de polidispersidade muito estreitos e pesos moleculares controlados. o processo permite a incorporação de fotoiniciadores em qualquer das reações de formação de blocos. o método também inclui processos de purificação que resultam em um copolímero em bloco com cores muito fracas, tornando-o útil em uma variedade de aplicações. em uma aplicação, copolímeros em bloco preparados de acordo com o presente processo podem ser úteis em adesivos de fusão a quente.
