método para caracterizar um pigmento colorido dispersível, e, sistema de caracterização de pigmento adaptado. a invenção diz respeito a um método para caracterizar um pigmento colorido dispersível para uso na determinação dos coeficientes de absorção e dispersão do pigmento colorido dispersível, o método compreendendo a etapa de obter um espectro de refletância de uma mistura do pigmento colorido dispersível com um pigmento dispersível substancialmente não absorvente em uma pluralidade de diferentes frações volumétricas em que o pigmento dispersível substancialmente não absorvente tem um tamanho de partículo maior que 0,6 mícron. é também provido um sistema de caracterização de pigmento adaptado para realizar o método da invenção para caracterizar um pimento colorido dispersível.
