Abstract

Método para o tratamento de bananas. É fornecido um método de armazenagem de bananas compreende as etapas de: (a) exposição de tais bananas a uma atmosfera que contém um ou mais compostos ativos de etileno, e (b) após tal etapa (a), exposição de tais bananas a uma atmosfera que contém um ou mais compostos de ciclopropeno enquanto as referidas bananas tem um estágio de cor de 2 a 6 na escala de sete estágios, onde as tais banadas são matidas em uma embalagem com atmosfera modificada por um período de tempo que inclui pelo menos um intervalo de tempo que dura 1 hora, onde tal intervalo de tempo começa entre a conclusão da referida etapa (b), e onde a referida embalagem com atmosfera modificada é construída de modo que a taxa de transmissão de dióxido de carbono de toda a embalagem (pct) é de 2.400 a 120.000 centímetros cúbicos por dia por quilograma de bananas.
