Abstract

"PLANTAS TENDO CARACTERìSTICAS DE CRESCIMENTO MODIFICADAS E MéTODO PARA PRODUZI-LAS". A presente invenção se relaciona a um método para modificação das características de crescimento de plantas por modificação da expressão em uma planta de uma seq³ência de ácidos nucleicos que codifica uma proteína 'zinc finger' (ou dedos de zinco) 2XC~ 2~H~ 2~ e/ou modificação do nível e/ou atividade na planta de uma proteína 'zinc finger' (ou dedos de zinco) 2XC~ 2~H~ 2~. A invenção também se relaciona a plantas transgênicas tendo características de crescimento modificadas, cujas plantas têm expressão modificada de um ácido nucleico que codifica uma proteína 'zinc finger' (ou dedos de zinco) 2XC~ 2~H~ 2~. Por exemplo, a produção de plantas de safra é melhorada pelos métodos da presente invenção.
