Abstract
"SISTEMA PARA PROTEGER UMA EMBREAGEM E MéTODO PARA PROTEGER UM MECANISMO DE EMBREAGEM". Um sistema (10) para proteger a embreagem (20) de um veículo de um estado operacional prejudicial. Incluídos no sistema de proteção de embreagem (10) estão meios para monitorar o estado operacional da embreagem, junto com meios para estimar a quantidade de energia sendo dissipada pela embreagem (20) . Uma unidade de controle (40) compara a quantidade estimada de energia dissipada pela embreagem (20) com um ou mais níveis de energia limites predeterminados. Uma ou mais ações projetadas para reduzir a quantidade de energia dissipada pela embreagem (20) são iniciadas quando a quantidade estimada de energia dissipada pela embreagem (20) excede o um ou mais limites predeterminados.
