Abstract

"FREIO A TAMBOR". A presente invenção diz respeito a freios a tambor incluindo um mecanismo de sapatas cooperantes com múltiplo grau de liberdade e mecanismo de ajuste automático da folga do freio. O dito mecanismo de sapatas cooperantes consiste de duas montagens de sapata, estas montagens de sapata cooperando entre si. Cada sapata de freio da montagem de sapata é articulada no seu braço de acionamento que é articulado e suportado sobre uma placa de base. O mecanismo de sapata cooperante com múltiplos graus de liberdade também coopera com o dito mecanismo de ajuste automático de folga. Vantajosamente, o presente freio a tambor tem acentuados efeito de frenagem e confiabilidade, as capacidades de resistência ao calor, resistência à degeneração a úmido foram aperfeiçoadas como também o foi a distribuição de pressão dos elementos de fricção, a vida útil do freio a tambor é aumentada, a folga entre os elementos de fricção pode ser ajustada automaticamente. Enfim, a invenção tem um desempenho perfeito.
