Abstract

"BRAçO DE CONTROLE PARA USO EM SISTEMA DE SUSPENSãO DE VEìCULO". Trata-se de um braço de controle empregado como um elo de suspensão dentro de um sistema de suspensão para veículos, o qual tem dois componentes semelhantes. Cada um dos componentes tem um corte transversal substancialmente em forma de W e chapas de extremidade circulares. As chapas de extremidade são acopladas entre si com embuchamentos que incluem um componente compressível. Durante carga normal, esta disposição de embuchamento mantém os dois componentes afastados um do outro,. Isto permite que cada um dos componentes se dobre e flexione quando submetido a forças longitudinais. Uma vez ocorrida a carga transversal, os dois componentes são levados a moverem-se em conjunto e finalmente encostam um no outro. Este encosto aumenta consideravelmente a resistência total do braço de controle, o que permite que ele suporte forças transversais intensas sem empenar.
