Abstract

La invención se refiere a un sistema de suspensión, especialmente para un automóvil, que comprende un vástago (2) fijo a la superestructura del automóvil (4) que puede pivotar alrededor de un primer eje de pivotaje (3) y en cuyo extremo abierto al menos una rueda (1) está montada giratoriamente, y al menos un amortiguador y/o elemento de suspensión (5), en el que un primer extremo del amortiguador y/o elemento de suspensión (5) está conectado a un punto de articulación sobre la superestructura del automóvil (4) y el segundo extremo del amortiguador y/o elemento de suspensión (5) está conectado al vástago (2) por medio de un elemento de fijación (6) de tal manera que la longitud efectiva de un brazo de apalanca con la que actúa el amortiguador y/o elemento de suspensión (5) con el fin de proveer soporte para el vástago (2) alrededor de su eje de pivotaje (3) para que se pueda cambiar. Con el fin de forzar las características de suspensión del sistema de suspensión cambiando la longitud del brazo de palanca, la invención provee un componente de transmisión de potencia (9) que transmite fuerzas que hacen incrementar y/o reducir la suspensión de la rueda (1) para el elemento de sujeción (6) con el fin de modificar la longitud del brazo de palanca efectivo de forma que se extienda al aumentar la carga y se acorte al disminuir la carga.
