Abstract

"ENZIMA, MOLéCULA DE POLINUCLEOTìDEO ISOLADO VETOR DE EXPRESSãO, CéLULA CULTIVADA EM QUE TENHA SIDO INTRODUZIDO UM VETOR DE EXPRESSãO, COMPOSIçãO ENZIMáTICA, CULTURA BIOLóGICA ISOLADA, E, PROCESSOS PARA DEGRADAçãO DE BIOMASSA CONTENDO CELULOSE, E PARA PRODUçãO DE UM POLIPEPTìDEO". Uma enzima apresentando atividade de endo-<225>-1,4-glucanase, que pertence à familia 9 das glicosil hidrolases, é obtenível de, ou endógena a, uma cepa pertencente ao gênero Bacillus, tal como Bacillus licheniformis, ATCC 14580; uma Molécula de polinucleodideo isolado (DNA) codificando uma enzima ou núcleo enzimático (o domínio cataliticamente ativo da enzima) apresentando atividade de endo-<225>-1,4-glucanase selecionada de (a) moléculas de polinucleotideos compreendendo uma seq³ência de nucleotídeos como apresentado na SEQ ID NO: 1 do nucleotídeo 76 ao nucleotídeo 1455 ou do nucleotídeo 76 ao nucleotídeo 1941, (b) moléculas de polinucleotídeos que codificam um polipeptídeo sendo pelo menos 75% idêntico à seq³ência de aminoácido da SEQ ID NO: 2 do resíduo de aminoácido 26 ao aminoácido 485 ou do residuo de aminoácido 26 ao resíduo de aminoácido 646, e (c) seq³ências degeneradas de nucleotídeos de (a) ou (b), a enzima endoglucanase expressa sendo útil em várias aplicações industriais.
