Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "LINHAGENS CELULARES EMBRIÈNICAS OU TIPO TRONCO PRODUZIDAS POR TRANSPLANTE NUCLEAR DE ESPéCIES CRUZADAS". Um método melhorado de transferência nuclear envolvendo o transplante de núcleos de células doadoras diferenciadas em ovócitos enucleados de uma espécie diferente da célula doadora é fornecido. As unidades de transferência nuclear resultantes são úteis para a produção de células tronco embriónicas isogênicas, em particular células tronco ou embriónicas isogênicas humanas. Estas células tipo tronco ou embriónicas são úteis para produção das células diferenciadas desejadas e para introdução, remoção ou modificação, de genes desejados, por exemplo, em locais específicos do genoma de tais células por recombinação homóloga. Estas células, as quais podem conter um gene heterólogo, são especialmente úteis em terapias de transplante de célula e para estudo in vitro de diferenciação de célula.
