Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO DE DROGA BIOADESIVA DE LIBERAçãO PROLONGADA E PROCESSOS PARA ADMINISTRAR UM AGENTE TERAPêUTICO E PARA PREPARAR UMA COMPOSIçãO DE DROGA BIOADESIVA DE LIBERAçãO PROLONGADA". A presente invenção refere-se a uma forma de dosagem de gel vaginal, bioadesiva, de liberação prolongada compreendendo uma formulação sinérgica de carragenano, polimeros contendo ácido acrílico, agarose e uma quantidade efetiva de um agente terapêutico, sendo que o agente terapêutico é liberado desta composição inicialmente a uma primeira taxa relativamente alta, proporcionando uma dose de carregamento do agente terapêutico, seguida de uma segunda taxa, mais baixa, de liberação que proporciona uma dose de manutenção constante do agente terapêutico durante até 24 horas. Mais especificamente, a presente invenção inclui composições nas quais a agarose é agarose que geleifica a temperatura ultra-baixa e o polimero contendo ácido acrílico pode ser carbófilo, um copolímero de ácido acrílico e álcool de divinila, um copolímero de ácido acrílico e ácido alquil acrílico com C~ 10~ a C~ 30~ ou um homopolímero de ácido poliacrílico.
