A invenção refere-se a folhas compostas com propriedades óticas eletricamente comutáveis, formadas de dois eletrodos de difusão e uma folha de microcompartimentos com cavidades, que contêm partículas eletroforeticamente móveis em um líquido de suspensão, sendo que a folha de microcompartimentos consiste em um material difusor de luz.
